About

On Friday 8 November 2019, Buma presents a new initiative in collaboration with November Music in cultural center Verkadefabriek in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands. New Music Conference will be one day full of inspiring presentations, pitches, workshops and panel discussions with international reach, on all the topics of interest to composers, performing artists, programmers, publishers, record labels, managers and booking agents.

Since its inception in 1993, November Music has proven to be a valuable event for music professionals working across the globe in a variety of genres and disciplines. The festival shows the latest musical developments in which creators and composers draw on contemporary composed music, jazz, new world music, music theatre, visual music, electronics & soundscapes and sound installations.

Says Ikaros van Duppen, genre manager new music at Buma: “November Music has always also been a great meeting place. Starting this year we want to take that aspect a step further by starting New Music Conference. To create a place to meet new people as well as old friends, talk about the developments, exchange ideas and foremost to get inspired. We need you to make this happen so please join us on Friday November 8!”

New Music Conference is not meant to be just about listening. Those who work professionally in music and feel at home with November Music’s programme, can share their knowledge and experience, and build their international professional network – in the official, carefully supervised matchmaking sessions or simply in the restaurant, bars and corridors of Verkadefabriek.
